Whether you’ve called this Greenbrier Valley home for six months or six years or since you can remember, Generation Greenbrier Valley is a place for you.
We bring together young people from across the Greenbrier Valley and surrounding areas who want to do good in their communities. We like to think of ourselves as a hub designed by and for young people - a place to connect, engage with other young professionals like yourself, and together create meaningful change.
Generation Greenbrier Valley is part of a network of Generation West Virginia chapters across the state, all uniting together under the same mission - to create the changes we want to see in order to make West Virginia a place where young people want to work and live.
As a young person living in rural West Virginia, it’s easy to feel cut off from the rest of the world. But you’re not alone. There is a network of young movers and shakers, just like yourself. Come find out at one our meetups or volunteering events.
One thing is very clear: the Greenbrier Valley's future depends on its ability to become an ideal destination for young talent. We are working toward a vision of the Greenbrier Valley where challenges are seen as opportunities, young people are drivers in our state’s future, and the Greenbrier Valley is a destination for young talent to live, work, and thrive.

There are so many ways to get involved in your community. By joining Generation Greenbrier Valley we’ll keep you informed on upcoming networking events, volunteer efforts and professional development opportunities. Heck, if you have an idea for a fun event or community project you’d like to see, we’ll help you get it off the ground.
Generation Greenbrier Valley is run by a volunteer-led board that meets regularly. We welcome folks from all ages and backgrounds, but our work is targeted toward young people ages 21-45. Generation Greenbrier Valley is a local affiliate of Generation West Virginia, the statewide organization dedicated to attracting, retaining and advancing young talent in the Mountain State.
From working with local charities to fight hunger, to running in a 5K to bring in foodbank donations, we take a fun, boots-on-the-ground approach to helping our community through volunteer efforts.
And don’t worry. We leave plenty of time for cocktails and conversation (or whatever drink you choose). Whether you enjoy picnics at local concerts or would rather meet up at the Irish Pub for an after work social hour. Trust us, at Generation Greenbrier Valley events there are plenty of good food, even better conversation and booze to go around.
And there’s plenty of room for you.
